Every bottle of Dos Maderas represents an incredible journey, beginning in the Caribbean in Guyana and Barbados, then making the journey across the Atlantic to Jerez, Spain and ending in your glass. Dos Maderas, meaning "Two Woods," is derived from the innovative multi-cask Solera aging process. Paola Medina, the Master Blender, Technical Director & Winemaker at Bodegas Williams & Humbert, belongs to the second generation of the Medina family, owners of leading Jerez winery Bodegas Williams & Humbert. DOS MADERAS 5+3 Double Aged Rum is a blend of 5-year-old Rums from Barbados and Guyana that rests for an additional 3 years in casks of 20-year-old Palo Cortado Sherry.
Tasting notes
Deep amber color, with rich hints of pecan, vanilla, and smoky oak. The palate is balanced with ripe fruit and tropical spice, layered over smoky oak nuances with elegant hints of sherry and a tobacco finish.
