Ruby red with violet nuance. Full, intense bouquet of blackberry, plum, cherry, with intense cacao and coffee notes. Warm, fry, soft, with an elegant structure and great persistence that confirms and amplifies the olfactory sensations. Pair with pasta with full body sauces, steak, game (wild, deer, boar, etc.) and long aging cheese.

The 2019 Taurasi is darkly alluring, grumbling up from the glass with an earthy blend of crushed rocks, lavender, tobacco and musky black currants. It's surprisingly energetic and juicy within. Ripe red and black fruits are accelerated by vibrant acidity, and cocoa and balsamic spice notes mount toward the close. The 2019's tannins come forward through the finish, edgy yet not severe, as licorice and dark chocolate nuances resonate. This is nicely done, and I'm happy to see a better oak integration than past vintages.
