Founded in 1451, Domaine de la Solitude is now in is sixth century of operation. The Lançon family (proprietors since Solitude’s inception) are the direct descendenants of the Barberini family and came over to Avignon with the popes in 1450. Now in the hands of Michel and Jean Lançon, Domaine de la Solitude is focusing on its Chateauneuf special cuvées, specifically the Cuvée Barberini.
Fertilizers have not been used at Solitude for the past ten years. The Estate is a contiguous 100 acres, planted to 86 acres of red grapes and 14.8 acres of white grapes, with vines averaging 50 years of age.
Adult Signature is required for every shipment.
