The 2018 Valpolicella Superiore starts out with a bit of a green streak of geranium, yet if finds balance as notes of blackberry and wild strawberries join the mix. It's a soft and juicy effort with pronounced acidity and lean red berries that give way to rosy inner florals. Salty minerals, black tea and a note of hard red candies linger as this tapers off to mouthwatering tension.
