Cellar Selection. Les Clos has the reputation of being the most austere of the grand cru vineyards when it is young. Certainly this tight wine with its tense texture is just at the beginning of its career. Toast and crisp white fruits add openness to this structured wine. It needs to age, so drink from 2025.

The 2019 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a lovely yellow plum and jasmine nose, hints of saffron emerging with aeration. The palate is very well balanced, with dried peaches, green olive and a pinch of spice, maybe just missing a little persistence but very well defined. Excellent.
