A barrel sample, the 2016 Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon offers up a deep garnet-purple color and gorgeous, spicy nose of aniseed, cumin seed, cloves, and cinnamon stick, with sandalwood, cassis, baked blackberries and licorice at the core plus a hint of espresso. Full-bodied, lush and plush, the opulently fruited palate delivers a ton of spicy fruit layers with a good, long pepper and spice-laced finish.
