Ramey Annum Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
The eighth vintage of this blend–it represents our version of a “winemaker’s wine.” Annum is the one red wine we make each year that allows us to select from a range of prestigious vineyards to make the best blend possible that vintage.
Blend: 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc.
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
Wine EnthusiastThis beautiful wine includes 9% Cabernet Franc that gives a lift of floral violet and grainy cedar. Classic all around in its etchings of coconut shavings, graphite, spice and dust, the fruit is additionally savory in bright red currant and a crunch of cassis, with an underpinning of soft, succulent blackberry.
James Suckling"A cab with tension and brightness plus lots of rose petal, blueberry, currant and lavender character. Full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Drink and enjoy on release or hold for a few years as it comes more together."
Wine SpectatorA steady ascent of supple flavors rises from modest to grand. The elegant array of anise-laced currant, berry, light cedar and earth notes making a second glass a necessity.
