Paul Hobbs Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2016

SKU 14697

Displaying a deep crimson hue, the 2016 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir bounds from the glass with plush aromatics of Morello cherry, mulberry, baking spice, and red clay. The fine, alluring texture gives way to focused flavors of boysenberry, bergamot, and iron which continue to evolve throughout the lengthy finish. Delightful with wild mushroom tartine, roast quail, or rosemary-rubbed leg of lamb.

Jeb DunnuckLeading off the Pinot Noirs, the 2016 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is a classic wine from this region as well as a great example of the style of this estate. Ripe black cherries, currants, flowers, and earthy notes all flow to a full-bodied, concentrated 2016 that has a beautiful sense of purity and elegance. Drink it anytime over the coming decade.

VinousThe 2016 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is a fabulous appellation-level wine. Rich, fruity and incredibly expressive, the 2016 has so much to offer. A rush of dark red and purplish berry fruit, rose petal, lavender, spice and hard candy are front and center in this brilliant, inviting Pinot from Paul Hobbs.

Wine SpectatorWell-focused on a tightly wound core of ripe plum, raspberry and black cherry flavors, backed by solid tannins, making this a good choice for mid-term cellaring. Best from 2020 through 2026. 6,000 cases made.
