Max Chefs Showcase for United Arts

at Max Downtown, Hartford

Enjoy an elegant, intimate evening enlivened by fine wine, fine food and fine art, while you support the 35th annual United Arts Campaign.

Max Downtown Executive Chef Hunter Morton will prepare the evening’s gourmet selections, such as oysters, caviar, diver sea scallops, perigord truffles, seared foie gras, rack of lamb, and white chocolate banana cream pie…which will be expertly paired with the finest vintages from Tuscany and California, including Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi, Attems, I’M, Mayro-Murdick, and Luce.

The showcase wraps up with an exciting live auction with celebrity auctioneers Dennis House and Kara Sundlun of WFSB Channel 3.

Auction items include:

  • Extraordinary lots of fine wine
  • Center orchestra tickets to The Metropolitan Opera
  • Dinner for 6 at Max Downtown with Hartford Stage Artistic Director Michael Wilson, and tickets to Hartford Stage
  • Five-course dinner for 6 at Trumbull Kitchen, and private tour of the new wing of the New Britain Museum of American Art with Executive Director Douglas Hyland
  • Unique paintings of local settings by Connecticut artists including Ken Kahn and Diana Lyn Cote.
