The 2015 Merlot checks in as a blend of 77% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Petit Verdot that spent 18 months in 51% new oak. It has a rounded, medium to full-bodied, plump style as well as notions of earth, red and black fruits, truffle, and underbrush. With a rounded, nicely textured mid-palate and sweet tannins, it will keep for upwards of a decade.
Vinous

Bright, dark, moderately saturated red. High-toned aromas of plum, redcurrant, spices and herbs. Offers good intensity and depth and a restrained sweetness to its cherry and oak flavors. Boasts easy drinkability but also sound underlying structure. I knocked this wine a point for its slightly drying tannins and finishing herbal element. (14.5% alcohol)

Trim and tightly focused, featuring red currant and toasted sage flavors that finish with a slight tannic bite. Best after 2020. 4,076 cases made.

Somewhat lighter in color for the variety, aromas of fresh herb, flower, tire rubber, mocha and cherry are followed by lighter-styled fruit flavors. The tannins bring a slightly gritty feel.
