A wealth of fruit yet remains fresh and vivid with blueberry and black cherry character. Some bark and dried earth. Full body, integrated tannins and a flavorful finish. The elegance and harmonic body of the wine permit its combination with many complex and complicated dishes such as red meat, feathered and furry game also accompanied by mushrooms or truffles. Brunello, in addition, is excellent with cheeses: aged tomes, parmesan, Tuscan pecorino. It also makes an excellent combination with meat dishes of international cuisine or with complicated sauces. Because of its characteristics, Brunello is also a pleasant meditation wine

Very beautiful and perfumed with floral and fresh cherry character. Medium-bodied, silky and creamy with a lovely finish. Drink now.

Overall, this red is balanced, with cherry, plum, iron and earth notes forming a ripe, sweet center to offset the solid, dusty tannins. Finishes with freshness and a lingering element of fruit. Best from 2022 through 2040.

Underbrush, leather, violet and wild-berry aromas slowly take shape on this. The tight, taut palate is on the lean side, offering cranberry, licorice and espresso alongside assertive close-grained tannins that grip the finish. Give the tannins a few years to unclench then drink sooner rather than later.

Deep ruby; this strikes me as being darker than most 2014 Brunellos I tried this year. Aromas of graphite and flint also give a dark quality to the black cherry and cassis aromas and flavors. Finishes long and clean, with decent grain to the tannins, but this does not strike me as an especially successful or even typical wine from Montalcino. Camigliano's classic Brunello has been much better than this in recent years.
