Wine EnthusiastWith piercing aromas of raisin pudding, molasses and spice, this rolls out the welcome mat and more. Luscious is probably as tame as you can put it; this is a ribald sweet wine with acidic backbone and hugely intense flavors of baked brown sugar, cinnamon cake and molasses. Powerful but still racy due to bracing acidity. About as good as it gets with P.X
International Wine CellarReduced coffee color, massive legs. Pure raisins, dried fruit, coffee, and chocolate on the nose. As if someome boiled dates, figs and raisins together and threw in coffee and chocolate. Extremely concentrated and sweet - too sweet to drink with anything but an eye dropper. As a taster's wine or an unusual ice cream syrup, 90 POINTS, less for actual drinkability. Gerry Dawes in IWC Issue 57 Nov/Dec '94 - Tanzer
Wine SpectatorNot the thickest Pedro Ximénez, offering fig, chocolate and caramel flavors. Sits a little heavy on the palate, with a cloying finish. Drink now. 500 cases imported.
