"Seña is a unique, 6000-case-per year Bordeaux blend made in Valle de Aconcagua just north of Santiago. Originally founded by Eduardo Chadwick in cooperation with American wine icon Robert Mondavi, since 2005 the project has belonged entirely to Chadwick, who also heads Viñedo Chadwick and Viña Errázuriz. It was Chadwick who introduced biodynamic viticulture to Seña, and who began sourcing grapes exclusively from the estate's own property; it's a 104-acre mountain vineyard with blocks of cabernet sauvignon, carmenere, merlot, malbec, cabernet franc and petit verdot. Although the vines are very young, having been planted specifically for Seña, it means perfect proportions of grape varietals can be used for the wines, including a significant splash of the oh-so-Chilean carmenere. It provides a degree of freshness, which, coupled with the malbec's decadent, unending complexity, makes this for now simply unbeatable in Chile. The 2013 and 2014 were near-perfect wines. The 2015 has secured Sena's position as one of Chile's greatest producers with a perfect 100-point score."
