The 2020 Barbera d'Alba Bricco dei Merli is plump and juicy, with complicating notes of dried flowers, herbs and cedar that add nuance. There's good fruit depth, to be sure, but the aromatics are suggestive of a style that is more savory rather than fruit-driven.
