The 2021 Dead Horse (91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, and the rest Petit Verdot) is deep purple-hued, with a pure, spicy, cedary bouquet that has both red and blue fruits as well as classic varietal lead pencil and tobacco nuances. It's medium to full-bodied and has nicely integrated background oak and fine tannins, all making for a beautiful Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon that will evolve for 15+ years.

The 2021 Dead Horse is seductively spicy, with a sheen of sweet violet and a dusting of cocoa giving way to minty blackberry fruit. Silky-smooth and ripe in style, this flows across the palate with a guiding line of juicy acidity, displaying depths of wild berries and hints of candied orange peel. The 2021 remains fresh throughout, tapering off with medium length and a gentle tug of tannins. This is a sexy blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot.
