Made from 100% Tinta de Toro from their own pre-phylloxera low yielding vineyard, located at 750+ meters altitude. Handpicked, spontaneous, partial-carbonic fermentation, unfiltered. Aged in amphorae and French oak barrels in 400-year-old underground cellar.
Volvoreta was awarded 97.5 points at BioCórdoba, the highest of the event. The winery is an entrepreneurial project with sustainable business practices in the vineyard, winning the National Biodiversity Award from the Ministry of Environment of Spain in 2009. In 2011 our experience with researchers from the University of Madrid confirmed maximum levels of resveratrol in them grape samples analyzed, almost 30 times more than conventional wines achieved.
