The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon '1 Post' is composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon heritage clones from Block 1 and Block 2. These unique grapes create a wine with symmetry, concentration and elegance. This wine immediately pops with notes of black cherry, graphite, incense, anise flowers, and sandalwood. As oxygen starts to infiltrate the glass, aromatics of hibiscus, rose petals, and tobacco pleases the senses. The palate offers a plush and seamless transition from the first sip to the lingering finish. Soft and smooth chocolate tannins play harmoniously with layers of black cherry compote, vanilla, cedar, and hints of star anise spice. The balance of acid, tannin, and beautiful fruit will let this wine age gracefully for years to come.
