Atop the hierarchy of Beaujolais Crus are Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, with notable aging potential. Often called the most “Burgundian” cru, Moulin-à-Vent shows complexity, finesse and length, while Morgon is the most robust and structured. Château des Jacques Moulin-à-Vent can age at least 10-20 years; Morgon can mature a minimum 5-20 years.
Following harvest, a portion of the grapes is destemmed before the wine is vinified in closed vats with pumping over. Finally, the wine matures in oak barrels.
Tasting note-
This full, robust Beaujolais offers a fleshy texture and greater longevity than any other Beaujolais cru. Its exceptional structure supports vivid red fruit aromas.

This wine pairs concentration and minerality. Black fruit predominates on the nose with raspberry, blackberry, umami and dried black cherry. The wine is grippy in texture and is supported by taut tannins through to the long finish. Drink now and from 2026 onwards to see the wine benefit from age in bottle.

Lithe, earthy and elegant, with intriguing and toasty earth notes enrobing violet, racy red currant and tobacco leaf accents. Grilled, smoky mesquite and thyme hints add depth, while wet stone and iron elements bring a mineral backbone. There's a tug of tar on the distinctive, medium finish. Drink now through 2027. 1,200 cases imported.
