Grapes: Nerello Mascalese
Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with skin contact for about 8 days and 2 to 3 days of pumping over. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques, 20 % of which are new oak.
Ageing: 12 months in French barriques, followed by a minimum of 8 months in the bottle.
Characteristics: Taste: Intense ruby red colour. The bouquet is intense, ample and pleasantly fruity with hints of red fruit and wild berries, Mediterranean herbs and flint. The taste is long lasting, dry and elegant.
