Notes of cherry, licorice and a hint of aniseed form a delicate nose. Mildly astringent tannins and vigorous acidity support grilled bell pepper and ripe plum flavors. Hints of smoke emerge on the finish.

The 2019 Red, essentially a Bordeaux blend, has a Pomerol-like nose with slightly animally red berry fruit, well defined but just a little feral compared to its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly austere tannins on the entry, dusty red berry fruit, moderate depth and a soy-tinged finish that attenuates slightly. So-so.
