Deau VS Cognac
The story began in 1685 during the reign of Louis XIV when Louis Deau settled in the region as a wine grower and thereafter discovered the magical alchemy of pot stills. For several generations the Bru Legaret family has been owning a large vineyard in the heart of the Cognac region. Nowadays, both Veronique Bru Legaret and her son Roland Legaret preside over the destiny of the eau Cognac brand. Deau Cognac is located in Sireuil (Charente, France) and more precisely at Les Moisans a hamlet in the hearth of the cognac region. All together the distillerie estates amount up to 40 hectares of land. There in the middle of our vineyards, overlooking the river, a large distillery can be found with 12 copper pot stills and several ageing cellars containing more than 2 000 barrels of cognac and several wooden vats. At Sireuil, everything is devoted to both the elaboration of great cognacs and to the French way of life. It is this balance between time, care and elegance that we give to DEAU, a fair tribute to Louis Deau. Cognac is the most refined spirit in the world, and Deau Cognac, is at the forefront of this refinement : crafted, produced in limited quantity, housed in a proprietary decanter, it will pleased the most demanding connoisseurs for exclusive cognacs.
