Montes Alpha Chardonnay 2013Fermented and aged in French oak for 1 year, 40% of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. Grapes sourced from Casablanca Valley. The wine remains in its original cask for one year using a monthly batonage to enhance buttery flavours and complexity which emphasizes the union of refined flavors of tropical fruit and aromas. Full bodied and creamy in the mid palate and very complex. One of the few Chilean whites that will improve over the years.

Schug Carneros Chardonnay 2014Founded in 1980, Schug Carneros Estate Winery is the showcase and life-long dream of one of California’s most celebrated winemakers. Walter Schug’s reputation blossomed during his tenure as Founding Winemaker for Joseph Phelps Vineyards in the 1970s, where he made California’s first proprietary Bordeaux-Style blend (Insignia) and legendary vineyard designated Cabernets (Backus and Eisele Vineyards). Drawing on his long experience in the production of fine wines in both Europe and California, Walter set up his own winery with his wife Gertrud in the cool, marine climate of the Carneros Appellation. Here he could focus on the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals that had always been close to his heart. In 1995 Sonoma-born winemaker Michael Cox came on board at Schug. Trained in Enology at UC Davis, Mike worked in several Californian wineries before he was lured from Napa Valley to Carneros - Sonoma, to work with Walter Schug as his assistant winemaker. One year later he was promoted to Winemaker and placed in charge of the day-to-day winemaking duties, where he remains today. Schug Carneros Estate Winery combines old world understanding and tradition with modern winemaking techniques. By using only the finest grapes available, and maintaining the best winemaking values, these wines have gained acceptance worldwide as true contemporary classics.

PRA Soave Classico 2015The wine has an attractive lemon colour and a bouquet bur- sting with notes of flowers and crisp fruit. Aromas of haw- thorn and jasmine are particularly prominent, as are exotic yellow and white fruits such as peach and apricots. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied and flavoursome, full of fruit, with clear mineral notes. The wine is easy drinking and has an aftertaste of hazelnuts and nutshells. FOOD PAIRINGS: This wine may be served as an aperitif and pairs excellently with elegant raw fish dishes as well as delicate starters. It also pairs well with sweet Parma ham. Excellent with pasta or rice based fish dishes and fresh cow's milk or goat's cheese.
Catena Zapata Catena Chardonnay 2014The 2014 Catena Chardonnay combines the unique expressions of three high altitude vineyard sites. The wine shows an intense greenish color with yellow notes. The extrordinary combination of these vineyards offer honey and tropical fruit flavors while lending notes of citrus, pears, peaches, and white flowers with a strong minerality and a delicated note of vanilla. The mouthfeel is clean, with a fresh, clean acidity. Food Pairing: This wine would be a fantastic companion a variety of poultry dishes, dishes finished with a Nantua sauce, or to a rich seafood dish like Shrimp and Herb Risotto.

Rodney Strong Chalk Hill Chardonnay 2015Barrel fermentation in new and seasoned French oak added toasty vanilla and spice complexities. During the twelve months of barrel aging, we regularly stirred the "lees" in barrel, which imparts an elegant fullness and creamy texture on the palate. In the glass, the wine is both creamy and crisp, with flavors of golden delicious apple, pear, Meyer lemon, baking spices with a hint of minerality on the long finish. Food pairings: Enjoy over the next one to three years with a gourmet cheese plate, creamy vegetable pasta or grilled halibut.

Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Chardonnay 2014Light greenish straw in color, our chardonnay expresses fruit aroma of pear, apple, white peach, ripe banana, kiwi, lemon-lime and tropical fruits. Adding to the complexity, the oak aging is fairly integrated adding spice, like nutmeg, toast, slight aromatic cedar and the nuance of angel food cake or marshmallow.
