Maison Bertrand Ambroise Chardonnay Lettre D'eloise 2014
He immediately started to compose a wine for her, which beautifully shows his love and affection. Lettre d’Eloise is named after ”Lettre a Élise” (the French translation for ”Fur Elise”), the timeless composition by Ludwig van Beethoven. The grapes for this wine come from young Chardonnay vines planted on clay soils in Premeaux-Prissey.
The wine is fermented in 1-, 2- and 3-year-old oak barrels, where it stays for a period of 10 months. The wine is not fined and only lightly filtered. Lettre d’Eloise is a wine of wonderful quality, showing citrus and acacia in abundance, framed with a delicate vein of acidity. A real roundness captures the freshness of barrel-fermented fruit.
Adult Signature is required for all the shipment.
