A very deep, shimmering purple. Complex, explosive, exciting and palatable. Surely in the register of the biggest Boisrenard. The Boisrenard offers an elegant balance and concentration.

Offers a grippy feel, with taut licorice and tar notes stretching from start to finish. Ripe plum, raspberry and blackberry fruit flavors fill in the core, while hints of anise and juniper hang in the background. The finish reveals a bolt of graphite. Should age very nicely. Best from 2015 through 2030.

The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Boisrenard is a solid step up over the classic cuvée and possesses additional depth and richness. Black raspberries, graphite, leather, and hints of scorched earth all emerge from this full-bodied beauty that has impeccable tannin quality, integrated acidity, and a great finish. It shines for its purity and finesse, has no hard edges, and is impeccably balanced. It too will keep for 10-15 years.

Dark ruby. Sexy, spice-tinged dark berry and floral scents, along with suggestions of mocha, licorice and smoky minerals. Supple and sweet on the palate, offering sappy, deeply concentrated black raspberry and lavender pastille flavors sharpened by juicy acidity. Closes smooth, gently tannic and very long, leaving notes of vanilla and dark berry liqueur behind.

This Demeter-certified biodynamic wine is made in an immediately enjoyable, drink-now style. Brandied black cherries and sun-baked earth mark the nose, while the palate is full, creamy and plush. It’s warm, ripe and welcoming from start to finish.
