Winemaker David Ramey sources from both Cole Creek and Rodgers Creek vineyards to make this wine, cofermenting it with 11% Viognier. Crushed rock, garrigue, gamy meat and lavender appear and accent an earthy, full-bodied core of silky texture and luscious dark cherry.

The 2017 Syrah Sonoma Coast has a medium purple/ruby hue as well as classic Syrah gaminess and pepperiness. With lots of blackberry fruit, some ground herb, bacon fat, and olive notes as well as medium to full-bodied richness on the palate, it's already drinking nicely and has a supple, approachable style. I would drink bottles over the coming 7-8 years or so.

The 2017 Syrah (Sonoma Coast) is bold and dense in the glass, with serious depth and concentration driving the red and purplish berry fruit. This bold, dense Syrah will benefit from a few years in bottle, as it is pretty tightly wound at this stage.
Adult Signature is required for every shipment.
