The grapes for this delicious Bordeaux-inspired blend come from several of our most prized estate and hillside vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley. At first swirl, the wine displays aromas of black currant, black cherry and blackberry. Several more minutes reveal hints of cardamom, white pepper, cumin and dried herbs. The palate has dark berry flavors along with earthy complexity and savory tones. It finishes with notes of mocha, marzipan, fine leather and black tea. Good acidity will help this wine to age beautifully for years to come.

Warm, ripe aromas, a full body and moderate tannins give this wine quite a bit of power. Dark chocolate and espresso flavors join very ripe black cherries and blackberries on the rich palate.

This is nicely rendered, with an emphasis on fresh, violet-laced blackberry and black cherry compote flavors that are laced up on the finish with a lively licorice note. There's a subtle cedar twinge at the very end. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2027. 3,880 cases made.

The 2019 The Mariner is a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 11% Malbec, 8% Petit Verdot, and the remainder Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 20 months in 46% new French and Hungarian oak barrels. The aromas are rich with savory herbs, game, and dried fig. The palate is full, with dusty tannins, dried blackberry, turned earth, and shitake. Drink over the next 3-4 years.
