American Rye styled by Old World sensibilities. This 86-proof 12-year-old Rye Whiskey is the greater sum of three finishes, each with their own distinctive flavor profiles. After maturing for over a decade in New American Oak, spirit is divvied into one of three directions. Port pipes (7%), French Sauternes barrels (30%) and Madeira casks (63%) all play a part. Our Master Blender calls in these components around the quintessential boldness of American rye-just as a conductor arranges a symphony. An orchestra of flavor to dazzle the senses. A nose of caramel, vanilla, and winter fruit. A palate of rye spice, apricots, plums, raisins, dates, and honey. A finish of dark chocolate, winter fruit, caramel, and vanilla.

Why aren't more spirits aged in former Madeira casks? This bold, flavorful bottling is dark amber in the glass, featuring delicious gingerbread and spice cake notes, leading into honey, caramel and sherry, and finishing long with juicy orange plus clove, cinnamon and cayenne heat. With a little water to tame and soften that alcohol fire, it's delicious as a sipping whiskey. Made with 12-year-old whiskey distilled in Indiana, then aged and bottled in Vermont.
