The Fontodi wines were already being exported all around the world at the beginning of the 1900s, receiving many prizes for quality at important exhibitions.
The Manetti family, originally from the Chianti area and who had been devoted to traditional terracotta production for over three centuries, purchased Fontodi in 1968 and have now for more than thirty years been dedicated to improving the production structures and buying new land.
