Bramare

Dark as night with indigo reflections, this powerful, dense malbec offers aromas of blackberries, black cherries and a savory touch reminiscent of soy sauce. Seamless from entry to finish, it is weighty on the palate, woven with rich, velvety tannins and notes of black fruits, red licorice, mocha and a hint of crème brûlèe over a perfectly integrated oak background.

Wine Advocate

The 2009 Bramare Malbec Lujan de Cuyo offers up slightly greater richness, depth, and layering. It will benefit from another 2-3 years of cellaring and provide prime drinking from 2013 to 2021.

Score: 93. —Jay Miller, December 2011.

Wine Spectator

Concentrated and lightly spiced, with layered flavors of blackberry, cassis and plum pudding. Bright acidity drives the long finish, which lingers with an aftertaste of tar and smoke. Drink now through 2013. 3,438 cases made.

Score: 90. —James Molesworth, October 31, 2012.
